Next week is our monthly Access & Issues Group meeting. This is open to all members and is at 8am via zoom. In our August meeting, the ISD194 School Board will give us an update on Lakeville Area Schools, from the board perspective. We will also have our monthly around the horn updates with local and elected officials who are on the call. If you would like to listen in, or actively participate, please email Shanen for the meeting link.

Welcome to Dakota County!

We are so excited to have a Memorial Blood Center location south of the river! Thank you to our friends in Apple Valley for including us on this ribbon cutting and thank you to all of you who come out to donate at our Memorial drives each year.

Speaking of which…the citywide drive was another great success this year! We are still waiting for final totals, but we believe we saved over 1,000 lives this week!

The man, the myth, the legend....Mike Cooper. As a Lakeville Rotarian, he started it all, and keeps us inspired to do more. Thank you to all who show up for us every year. We are doing great things togethe in Lakeville!

Yuuuummmmm.

First of all – you MUST go check out Donut Star in person.

Not only do Peter and his team make delicious scratch donuts, but the space is so bright and welcoming for your meeting, small group gathering, Saturday morning family outing - you name it. Second of all – you should follow them on Facebook to see all of the deliciousness they post on there each week. Fair warning – it will be hard to resist.

Thank you to our friends at the Burnsville Chamber for joining us this morning! Donut Star has another location in Burnsville and is active in their Chamber community.

On another note - the high school students that work there are going back to school in a month and they are looking for some people who want a part-time side hustle in the mornings. If you know of anyone who might be looking for a fun part-time job, tell them to reach out!

Wow – so much fun!

That was so cool! Thank you to everyone who came out (before) bright and early Monday for the Kare 11 Pep Rally for Paris to celebrate Regan Smith. The high school bands and cheer squads were energizing us, idioma was keeping us awake with coffee, and LBC on the Lake was giving us sustenance with breakfast. A huge shout out to the City of Lakeville for coordinating such a special event to celebrate one of our own. They knocked it out of the park!

Happy Anniversary!

Congratulations to Shanen Corlett on 10 years with the Chamber in July! Shanen has been instrumental in the growth of our membership, allowing us to add more resources and opportunities for meaningful connections. Shanen was a long time member and volunteer before joining the staff so she understands what is important to our businesses community and is a tireless advocate for you all. And…for those of you who LOVE our Good Morning Lakeville series…and there are a lot of you!...that is her brainchild!

If you want to send her a quick congrats, you can email her here! Thank you, Shanen for all that you do for Lakeville!
