Keynote Speaker: Dr. Mike Flores

We are pleased to announce Dr. Mike Flores, Chancellor, Alamo Colleges District, will be giving the keynote address, "A Journey to Excellence," at the 2025 International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence.

In 2024, the Alamo Colleges District became the only community college system in the nation to be awarded the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award twice in award history, after previously winning the award in 2018. The Alamo Colleges District is located in the heart of San Antonio, America’s fastest-growing city—and one of its most impoverished—and remains focused on achieving its moonshot of ending poverty in the greater San Antonio area through education and training. Chancellor Dr. Mike Flores will highlight how Alamo Colleges District uses the Baldrige framework to meet students where they are and take them on the next step of their educational journey.

We are seeking individuals from NISOD member institutions to serve as facilitators to lead various Learning Communities this fall.

Facilitators define the topic, purpose, develop content, organize meetings, and foster peer connections through Zoom with support from NISOD staff. These groups of up to 100 participants bring faculty and staff together to share best practices and innovative ideas on topics related to teaching, learning, and student success.
