Before the freeze descended on us, your generosity provided Warm Clothes and Blankets that were used at the Salvation Army, On Monday we made a delivery to Churches Touching Lives for Christ, and counting the items that are in my car to be delivered, we have 159 packages of Ramen fand more on the way. Also, we've donated 51 jars of Peanute Butter and cans of soup, pasta, canned goods, ets. It is all desparately needed.
On Tuesday, before the Freeze, we furnished sandwiches that were shared with those needing meals at Feed My Sheep. (During this week, Feed My Sheep has been consistently feeding those braving the frigid weather for a hot meal and sandwich to go, along with a warm place to eat their lunch...daily average of 80)
IMPACT Church has been serving those needing shelter...and at the peak has had 70 folks enjoying warmth and companionship...and breakfast and dinner. (An HEB run for bread and meat for sandwiches at Feed My Sheep also allowed us to provide Bread and lunchmeat and cheese for one meal at IMPACT. (By the way, Bread during this time was the HOT Commodity! (Warming Shelters were available at IMPACT, Salvation Army, St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Christ Church Generosity does not stop - and CTLC has requested us to change to another favorite....News to come in the next email.
Continue to pray for those in need. Thank you for supporting the efforts of the different ministries. This time is a reminder that we all need each other...and that God uses each of us to touch lives. There's no better experience than this!

Christ Church Caring is a ministry involving specially trained Shepherds who are partners with clergy to provide care for our Parish.
Christ Church Caring is still in need of a Shepherd volunteer.
Shepherds work in teams to make periodic phone calls to parishioners to help us all stay in touch. As circumstances arise, Shepherds also provide information about various church ministries. Shepherds need to be able communicate promptly by phone and email. If you feel called to serve in this way, please contact Diane Torres, 678-492-8726, dctorres @aol.com or Robyn Dadig, 903-590-7825, robyndadig@gmail.com.

Via Zoom
Join the Adult Forum discussion of Richard Rohr's Falling Upward. Get ready for a great adventure, the one you were really born for...get ready for some new freedom, some dangerous permission, somehow from nowhere, some unexpected happiness, some stumbling stones, some radical grace, and some new and pressing responsibility for yourself and for our suffering world."
