We are delighted to share 12 days of stories highlighting each SJDL grade as our way of thanking families, teachers, staff and friends during this

Becoming Saints
The children celebrated All Saints Day on November 1st. Students dressed as their special saints and processed
into the theater
for our Mass.

Hallelujah!
The children are so excited to learn about the First Christmas. We are blessed to be able to share the story of the birth of Jesus with our students.

The Blessing of Stuffed Animals
Our first celebration was the Pet Parade honoring St. Francis of Assisi's Feast Day. We had the opportunity to participate in Little Vineyard's Pet Parade, to which each Kindergarten student brought in a stuffed animal to have blessed by our Preschool Director, Mrs. Cortez. The children were able to parade around with their "pets" and then keep their stuffed animals with them in class all day. This was a very exciting experience for all!
Following in Christ's Footsteps
Kindergarten celebrated All Saints Day by dressing up as a saint and proceeding into the theater before Mass. After Mass, the students were able to tell the class the saint they were portraying. We discussed what saints are and how we can live like them...more like Christ.
We Are Thankful
The Thanksgiving feast was another awesome class celebration. Students were able to participate in a classroom feast. They learned to set the table, place utensils in their correct setting and shared in a wonderful prayer of thanksgiving. They had great fun with wonderful conversations and delicious food prepared by our Kindergarten parents.
