The 2018 Annual Student Exhibition


This annual exhibition transforms the classrooms, hallways and studios of The Cooper Union into galleries showcasing work from the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, the School of Art, and the Albert Nerken School of Engineering

Located in the Foundation Building (7 East 7th Street) and 41 Cooper Square.

2018 Introduction to Architecture for College Credit and Portfolio Development 

The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture of The Cooper Union is offering two intensive courses at the college and high school level during the Summer 2018 session.  The programs introduce students to foundation concepts and practices within the study of architecture, provides site visits, lectures, and culminates in the production of a portfolio.  

The summer session will run July 9 - August 10, 2018 for high school students and July 9 - August 3, 2018 for college students. Admission is on a competitive rolling basis. Learn More...
Redefining Safety and Justice for the 21st Century City

A wide-ranging conversation about the future of the architecture and infrastructure of New York's criminal justice system with Elizabeth Glazer, Director of the NYC Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice, and Stanley Richards, Executive Vice President, The Fortune Society, moderated by Rosalie Genevro, Executive Director, The Architectural League.
