Introducing the 2021 Alumni Ambassadors
Sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton
What is the FIRST Chesapeake Alumni Ambassador Program?
FIRST Chesapeake helps represent the FIRST community in DC, Maryland and Virginia and highly values the contributions of FIRST alumni as volunteers, mentors, and community advocates.

The Alumni Ambassador Program Sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton is a program designed to help achieve a few strategic goals:
  • Engage FIRST Alumni as event volunteers and mentors;
  • Encourage enhanced training to prepare FIRST alumni for more complex volunteer roles;
  • Provide professional development opportunities to better qualify FIRST alumni as role models and mentors;
  • Utilize alumni at FIRST Chesapeake District events as representatives who embody the program ideals of Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition.

For alumni, the Ambassador Program creates opportunities to:
  • connect with other FIRST alumni across the region;
  • gain unique professional networking opportunities with FIRST supporters;
  • give back to the FIRST community.

Each 2021 Alumni Ambassador has committed to volunteer service as event volunteers, mentors, and community advocates for the FIRST Chesapeake District, and will complete professional development workshops on mentoring and equity, diversity and inclusion, hosted in partnership by FIRST Chesapeake and MENTOR Virginia.

After the completion of all program requirements, each Alumni Ambassador will be eligible to receive a $1,000 grant to benefit the FIRST team of their choice. Team grants are made possible by the generosity of Booz Allen Hamilton. That's great news for some deserving FIRST Chesapeake teams, and the FIRST Chesapeake District overall.
