Macy’s Holiday Round-Up Campaign: LIVE through Dec. 24!
Note: Your agency can participate in the Macy's partnership and be considered for funding regardless of whether there is a Macy's store in your service area.
As a reminder, the campaign proceeds go to support agencies across the network both through zip code-aligned funding AND as an acknowledgment of creative and active agency promotion of the partnership! All agencies are asked to promote the campaign through social media and press release templates provided. Together we can encourage all Macy’s customers to round up their purchase or donate online through December 24.
Submit all of your agency’s activity in support of the Macy’s partnership here by January 5, 2023.

Celebrate the Holiday Season with Nordstrom Rack
Now through the end of the year, shoppers in-store and online can donate to BBBS, and proceeds raised will benefit agencies aligned with Nordstrom Rack stores across the country. Assets are available in Brandfolder, and we encourage you to promote the campaign across your social media channels. To make the campaign an even bigger success, you can stop by your local Rack stores, thank them for the partnership, and offer to meet with the store teams to share more about the BBBS mission.

Join Us for BBBSA's First Distinguished Capitol Hill Day!
BBBSA will be hosting Capitol Hill Day in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. This free event will take place at the Watergate Hotel at 2650 Virginia Ave, NW, and on Capitol Hill. This will be an exciting opportunity for BBBS agencies and our external stakeholders to come together to learn about our organization’s federal policy priorities, strengthen relationships with their members of Congress, and build the advocacy capacity of the BBBS network.

The Gift of Mentorship
In May of 2020, Keontae (Little) from BBBS Miami was matched with his Big Fester “Tony”. Keontae had been waiting to be matched since January and his match support specialist had trouble finding a match for him. His specialist described him as “very shy and inexpressive.” After a few unsuccessful attempts, the specialist encountered Tony. Tony learned about the program through his fellow church member, BBBS Miami CEO Gale Nelson. Tony stated that he wanted to become a mentor because he “felt strongly about giving back to his community” and he wanted to “provide guidance to someone who needs a positive role model.”
The match started pretty rocky. There were times when Keontae wouldn’t answer and would even block Tony’s calls. But Tony stayed persistent. His commitment and effort never wavered, and Tony made it evident that he would not give up on Keontae. Tony and Keontae are nearly best friends now. Tony took Keontae on his first fishing excursion, taught him how to fish, and they did weekly workouts together. According to the match support specialist, Keontae’s level of confidence, ability to communicate, and ability to carry a conversation have improved tremendously
