Get ready to walk, and help fetch funds!

Hello

Our 2025 Walk for Animals is happening on Saturday, September 13 from 9:30-11:30am at the Brattleboro Town Common. We hope you can join us!

Our 2025 goal is to raise $40,000 for the shelter to cover lifesaving care for local pets. Thank you so much for joining us and supporting us in any way that you can.

Here are all the ways you can support the Walk for Animals this year:

Register, and attend the walk in person–either as an individual, or as a team.
Register as a virtual supporter if you cannot walk in-person but still want to participate.
Fundraise as an individual or with others, either by creating your own online fundraiser, or by collecting cash and checks.
Donate to our Facebook fundraiser, and share it with your friends.
Tell everyone you know about the Walk and encourage them to participate however they can.

Thank you so much for helping us fetch funds for the animals! We will have prizes for the top 3 fundraisers, and every registered participant will be entered to win a prize.

Summer appeal: Help the pets who stay with us longest

There are lots of reasons some animals have longer shelter stays than others.

Odin suffered from severe allergies, which required a prescription diet and routine allergy shots. Adopters often passed him over because they were not equipped to meet his medical needs.

During Odin’s 90 days here, far longer than our average 18-day shelter stay, he received all the medical care he needed until the special day his person came for him.

Not every home is right for every pet. Finding a good fit is so important for animals and their humans. WCHS cares for animals as long as it takes to find the right home.

Will you be there for a shelter guest with a gift of $50, $100, $250, or anything you can give?

A grateful adoptive family is matching gifts up to $5,000 this summer.

That doubles your contribution to the costs of caring for our furry friends.

Donations can also be mailed to WCHS, PO Box 397, Brattleboro, VT 05301
