Regretfully, we have elected to cancel this year’s  live gathering  of the 44th Annual Killebrew-Thompson Memorial in favor of a virtual event.    Cancer has not stopped, and neither will we. Our beneficiaries— St. Luke’s Cancer Institute and the Masonic Cancer Center —need our support now more than ever to advance critical cancer research and patient care.  Plans are well underway for the  virtual  version of the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial, which features creative twists on our traditional Golf Tournament and Auction Gala. The Remote Golf Tournament  invites players to compete from their local courses. Guest can tune in to the  Virtual Auction Gala  from home. Event details and registration go live Monday, June 15th . In the meantime, mark your calendars for the Online Auction Gala  Friday, August 21. While we will miss the camaraderie of gathering in Sun Valley, the  Virtual Killebrew-Thompson Memorial  promises to connect us in new and meaningful ways—mobilizing supporters across the country to “play for a purpose” and further our mission to find a cure for leukemia and other cancers.   We hope you will join us for this exciting new KTM experience and pledge your support to take a  #swingatcancer.

KTM Board donates $20,000 to Hunger Coalition

The Sun Valley area was hard hit by the coronavirus, with one of the highest per capita infection rates in the country. For forty-three years, the Sun Valley community has played an integral role in the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial. More than forty local businesses donate items to the auction each year. Dozens more have played host to our guests, showcasing the best of Sun Valley—from lodging to dining to fly fishing.   To express our gratitude and support, members of the KTM Board of Directors have made personal contributions, totaling $20,000, to The Hunger Coalition . This organization provides local families with emergency food through its food pantry. It has served more families in the last month than in the entire year of 2019.   “We wanted to give back to the community that has given so much to us and our cause over the years,” said Killebrew-Thompson Memorial Board Chairman Marc Butler of JR Butler, Inc. in Denver, Colorado.
