Ingles Tools for Schools Supply Drive and Distribution through Eblen Charities
We would like to thank all those who joined us this year for the 11
th
annual Ingles Tools for Schools supply drive and giveaway day.
This is one of the biggest outreach projects we do and we could not do it without our Sponsors, donors and volunteers.
A tractor trailer was filled with supplies at the collection drive. Ingles employees, Eblen staff and volunteers, along with WLOS and iHeartRadio greeted and collected supplies from 4:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Nearly 100 volunteers and 500 volunteer hours were given in preparation for the giveaway day! Sorting and organizing the 35 stations of paper, pencils, pens, markers, colored pencils, erasers, folders, book bags and more! Together we helped more than 1,200 children get the school supplies they needed to begin school this past Monday. The supplies the children receive help relieve the financial burden on the family, help the teachers and help the children feel the same as everyone else, helps give them confidence and be happy to start school!
The third annual Ingles Pharmacy / Eblen Immunization Project had another successful year. Thanks to Ingles Pharmacy, the Buncombe County Health Department, Dr. Drew, and Young Transportation, for providing immunizations for children starting Kindergarten and 7
th
grade, flu shots, and wellness checkups for those who were in need.
We are so thankful to Ingles Markets, WLOS, iHeart radio, and the Asheville Citizen-Times for the time and resources used to make the Ingles Tools for School Supply Drive a huge success. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sponsored, donated, and volunteered.
