Hello 9th Grade Students & Parents:

On Wednesday, April 29th, freshman students will be taking the AZ Civics Exam in their HL class. The State of Arizona requires all high school students to earn 70% or above on the AZ Civics Exam in order to receive a high school diploma. 

We encourage students to spend time reviewing the information on the exam by going to the State of Arizona Civics Exam Information Page: https://tinyurl.com/5dba258j. This link has valuable information regarding the test content. It also has two practice exams with answers provided.  Please spend time outside of class studying for this exam. There are 100 total questions - 92 multiple-choice and 8 fill-in-the-blank (spelling counts). 

If your student does not receive a 70% or above, they will have to retake the AZ Civics Exam on Friday May 8 during the school day. Again—this is a State of Arizona high school graduation requirement.
