Rapid Application Development Workshop with OnBase WorkView

WorkView | Case Manager is a low-to-no-code component of OnBase that can be used to build business applications.  It is primarily used to build three things: tables of data, relationships between data, and user interfaces to view/interact with the data.  The true power of WorkView comes from being a part of a robust OnBase suite that includes; workflow, content management and file sync and sharing. 

Most organizations have at least one core business application like HRIS, CRM, or ERP.  This is the source of truth and the primary business application for day-to-day operations.  But there are also shared spreadsheets, standalone applications, custom applications, legacy applications, Lotus Notes, Access and standalone databases in addition to paper checklists and emails.  WorkView is the glue that can give you the ability to standardize on a configurable tool for building applications thus minimizing the number of applications in your infrastructure and becoming experts with a single application that does what your core systems can't do easily and also can support adding functionality to your core system with mobile and workflow functionality.

What type of use cases does this lead to?  Things like contract management, vendor management, benefit enrollment tracking, employee management, HR onboarding and offboarding, incident management, policy administration and many more.  Below is a great example of WorkView in action where a user can see data, process milestones, documents, tasks, notes and collaboration all from one screen.

OnBase for Human Resources

Kofax Launches RPA 10.7  

Kofax recently launched RPA 10.7 with several key features:
  • Now with Natural Language Processing - Sentiment analysis and entity extraction enable RPA robots to read and interpret text communications such as emails, legal documents, complaint letters, social media sites and more.
  • Easy upgrades / backwards compatibility - Control the upgrade timeline of each robot individually, and still run the modern design studio and desktop automation tools for new ones. A new dynamic licensing distribution model streamlines Concurrent Robot Execution availability across versions, supports multi-version robots on a single Virtual Machine, and includes a simple Java-based management console upgrade path.
  • UI enhancements to the RPA design studio - Enhancements include dockable windows for a better user experience, an improved finder, and robot tagging for easier digital workforce management.
  • Desktop automation enhancements - Now included are a new PDF Maker, a simple converter for changing integers to text and numbers, and a more advanced robot tracking and auditing capability.

Tom Zeliff has been in the ECM industry for 25+ years holding positions as a Regional Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales, working with clients to help improve business process cycle time and operational cost reductions. He is a seasoned Sales Executive with years of B2B experience, successfully selling AP automation, workflow, SasS and cloud solutions.
