Attorney General Moody Highlights Millions in Recoveries to Kick Off Consumer Protection Week

Attorney General Ashley Moody is highlighting millions in recoveries for consumers nationwide in recognition of the 2020 Consumer Protection Week. Since taking office, Attorney General Moody’s Consumer Protection Division has recovered more than $153 million through settlements and court-ordered relief for Floridians and consumers nationwide.
Attorney General Brnovich Announces Nearly $11 Million Settlement with CenturyLink
March 2, 2020

 Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that his office has secured a nearly $11 million Arizona Consent Judgment with CenturyLink to resolve allegations that the company engaged in deceptive and unfair advertising and billing practices by, among other things, failing to disclose fees and ultimately charging Arizona consumers more than the prices it promised in advertisements and sales pitches. The Consent Judgment is subject to court approval.

Hawaii Attorney General Joins Bipartisan Coalition in Defending States’ Rights to Regulate the Rising Cost of Prescription Drugs

Hawaii Attorney General Clare E. Connors joined a bipartisan coalition of 46 attorneys general led by California Attorney General Becerra, in filing an amicus brief in the United States Supreme Court supporting states’ rights to regulate and address the rising cost of prescription drugs.

In filing this brief, Attorney General Connors joins the attorneys general of: Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia.

Attorney General Aaron Ford Announces 2020 Grant Opportunities to Combat Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced the release of a Notice of Funding Opportunity for Nevada agencies and non-profit organizations to apply for the Services-Training-Officers-Prosecutor (STOP) and Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) grants.
