The April 8, 2024, solar eclipse is right around the corner and is expected to last almost twice as long as the 2017 solar eclipse. Check out our updated Solar Eclipses: Planning Resources document. As always, reach out to ASPR TRACIE if you need technical assistance.

Template-Hospital Crisis Standards of Care Resource Allocation Annex

The Hospital Crisis Standards of Care Resource Allocation Annex Template can help hospital emergency managers and medical directors develop an annex to their Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) that complements existing surge capacity plans. It includes specific decision processes for allocation of resources and the triage of patients for the provision of critical care when shortages of equipment or therapeutics pose a significant risk to patient outcomes.

Crisis Standards of Care: Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic (Speaker Series Recording)

In Crisis Standards of Care: Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. John Hick (Hennepin Healthcare) describes how the crisis standards of care concept and practice have changed over the past several years. Mass Distribution and Dispensing/Administration of Medical Countermeasures Topic Collection (Updated)

The Mass Distribution and Dispensing/Administration of Medical Countermeasures Topic Collection provides links to federal, state, local, and tribal programs and resources, lessons learned, plans, tools and templates, courses, and guidance that can help planners address the need to effectively distribute and administer medical countermeasures to a large number of persons in a short period of time.

Project ECHO Clinical Readiness Rounds

ASPR and Project ECHO have launched HHS/ASPR Project ECHO Clinical Readiness Rounds to create peer-to-peer learning networks where clinicians who have more experience treating patients in emergency situations share their challenges and successes with clinicians across the U.S. and around the world with a wide variety of experience of these situations. Topics for sessions are based on new and emergent information around emergency preparedness and topics requested by participants. Please contact C19ECHO@salud.unm.edu for more information.
