Annoucing the 2014 Whitepaper: Equity is Such a Lonely Word
Co-published by The NCHERM Group and ATIXA, this Whitepaper will be a practical guide to realizing full equity. We may give lip service on our campuses to being communities of inclusion, diversity and social justice, but without real equity, we don't walk our talk.

The Title IX OCR Dear Colleague Letter (April 4, 2011) tells us we must train all of our employees on reporting responsibilities. How are we supposed to do that? ATIXA has developed an online, comprehensive training tool designed to inform employees about their duty to report sexual abuse, sexual misconduct and other behaviors that fall under Title IX. Click here to learn more about this new training opportunity from ATIXA and The NCHERM Group. Considering this training for your campus? Ask us about how you can preview this resource for free!
Use this Valuable Resource to Develop Your 2014 Training Curriculum
If you are wondering what you are required to train on, you could pour over all the OCR Dear Colleague Letters and Guidance on Title IX, read the Campus SaVE Act, digest the latest OCR decision letters from campuses that have been investigated, and compile all of that into a handy chart. Or, you could let the experts from ATIXA do it for you. This checklist offers detailed and timely guidance to answer all of your questions.
Developed by our team of experts led by Daniel C. Swinton, J.D., Ed.D, this chart is an invaluable resource addressing frequency, audience, content, type timing and dosage, for all training, prevention, education, awareness and policy mandates and recommendations related to sexual violence, sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking. ATIXA’s Title IX/SaVE Act Prevention & Training Checklist is a life-saver and time-saver that distills all the new and existing requirements into a single, detailed and copiously researched chart that will help institutions examine current policies and procedures and develop a comprehensive training plan for faculty, staff and students. We know how valuable this tool is for your campus.
Non-members can purchase the ATIXA Title IX/SaVE Act Prevention & Training Checklist directly from ATIXA for $249. This cost includes the 11” x 17” one-page, laminated poster, shipped directly to your campus and an electronic copy of the poster that can be distributed to relevant campus officials.

The NCHERM Group and ATIXA Model Policy and Procedure for Civil Rights Equity Grievance Resolution for all Faculty, Students, and Employees
The NCHERM Groupand ATIXA have developed an approach called the One Policy, One Process Model permitting all discrimination complaints (age, race, sex, gender, nationality, etc.) to be resolved using one institution-wide policy, and one stand-alone resolution process, applied to all complaints involving faculty, students and staff. Complying with the Campus SaVE Act
By now, many of you have taken a look at the VAWA Reauthorization section known as the Campus SaVE Act. This act is now law, with enforcement expected to kick in a year from now. Start planning now, because there is a lot to this new law. This amendment changes the Clery Act in ways much more substantive than previous amendments. While amendments before asked us to disclose existing policies, they largely did not require us to create new policies except for the set of amendments contained in the 1992 Campus Sexual Assault Victim's Bill of Rights. Now, those disclosures and rights have been largely eclipsed by the SaVE amendments, which will require us to develop significant new policy language, much of the content of which is prescribed by the SaVE Act.
We have a shortcut to SaVE you time. We have created template language to satisfy all of the new SaVE Act disclosure requirements (at least as best we can decipher them before regulations are issued). It's eight pages of model language containing policy and procedure information outlined by Title IX and Campus SaVE. This template is available from The NCHERM Group for $249. To purchase our SaVE disclosure template, visit our online store or contact Alisha DiGiandomenico at (610) 644-3387. Please note that our template only includes the new ASR required disclosures, not all updates that were made by SaVE, such as those involving hate crimes statistics and hate crime categories.
ATIXA members receive a 15% discount off the price of Campus SaVE Act Model Language Template. Contact Marianne Price, Director of Educational Programs, for more information!
