The ballet journey begins here!

Newsletter - October 2024

Dear Academy parents and dancers,

We have had a wonderful start to the year! We are grateful to all our dance families and are looking forward to a wonderful season.

Please note that although many schools in our area take a Fall Break in October the Academy does NOT! We have classes throughout the month of October. We are open on Monday, October 14th (Indigenous Peoples/Columbus Day) this year. On Halloween Oct 31st, the schedule will be adjusted so younger children can enjoy the holiday. We will send out the changes for Thursday classes in a couple weeks.

Other important events coming up: Dance Portrait Day on Sunday, Oct 13th; sign up on the board in the Academy office. Parent Observation week Monday Oct 21st thru Saturday Oct 26th. Make sure to note NOW on your calendar; you don't want to miss this opportunity to see your dancer in class.

Thank you for choosing the Academy for your child's dance education and for supporting quality dance in our community.

Help spread the word...

The Academy accepts new students throughout the school year. Please spread the word about our program among your family and friends. Their child's ballet journey can begin here!

We are especially looking for new little ones for our Saturday morning classes:

Ages 3&4 9:00am

Ages 5&6 9:45am

And for families with a stay at home caregiver, we offer a preballet class for ages 3-5 on Tuesday mornings 10:15am.

Visit our website for complete information

Academy tuition due

If you chose the 6-installment tuition plan at registration, the next installment is due this week. The same for our upper-level dancers, families and late-start students that are on the monthly plan. Tuition is always due the first class after the 1st.

Unsure of your tuition amount or if you recently made a payment? Alize is more than happy to check for you. Stop by the office M-F 3-7pm or Sat mornings 8:30-10am.

Thank you to our families that make their payments on time. You are MUCH appreciated!

Open Observation Week

October 21st - 26th

All parents are invited to come into class with their child. You will get an up-close look at the students to see their progress. Instructors will be sharing their class goals and talk about upcoming Academy and Ballet Yuma events. Hope to see you there!

Please note:

Classes not open to observation: Ballet Yuma Saturday company classes, Monday Adult Ballet and Tues. morning 9:15am PreBallet for 2 year olds.
