🎥 The Stanford REACH Lab recently released a short video (3:19) titled The Great MIST-Understanding, which breaks down the difference between vapor and aerosols.

Why does this matter? Because many people still believe that e-cigarettes—or “vapes”—are a healthier alternative to smoking cigarettes, cannabis, or blunts.

From Stanford REACH LAB: That belief is often rooted in a common misconception: that these products produce only harmless water vapor with nicotine or THC, or are simply “flavored water.” In reality, what’s inhaled is an aerosol—a mixture of chemicals and particles that can impact health. Over the years I've seen a variety of enhancement drugs in gas stations and vape shops. This week the FDA posted a warning to one of the products that may be on shelves near you. Boner Bears Honey may be harmful due to hidden drug ingredients

FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Boner Bears Honey contains sildenafil and tadalafil not listed on the product label. Sildenafil and tadalafil are the active ingredients in the FDA-approved prescription drugs Viagra and Cialis, respectively, used to treat erectile dysfunction. FDA approval of Viagra and Cialis is restricted to use under the supervision of a licensed health care professional. These undeclared ingredients may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates.
