Dear Friends,

2017 has gotten off to a busy start at the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation. We launched the 2nd Annual "Inspired by Israel" Video Competition, a new year of programming at StandByMe, work with Virtually Israel (VR) 2.0 to bring cutting-edge virtual reality Israel experiences to more organizations and campuses, and a range of other new projects and partnerships.

This month’s newsletter features an article that Adam published in the The Algemeiner. It lays out our vision for best practices in Jewish philanthropy – and how the Jewish community should be investing to best secure the Jewish future.

We thank you for all that you do to further our shared mission – and look forward to partnering with you in the months ahead to strengthen the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

With best regards,

Gila and Adam Milstein

He Who Saves Just One Life Saves The Entire World…

But –  We have limited resources as a community. How should we invest to get the best ROI?

We need to look for low-hanging fruit, and invest in programs most likely to reach those who will be receptive to our message.

Featured Grantee: The Lawfare Project
MFF is proud to support The Lawfare Project (LP), a nonprofit legal think tank using the law in creative and groundbreaking ways to protect and advance the civil and human rights of the Jewish people and the Jewish state. The LP mobilizes public officials, media, jurists, litigators and legal experts to counter damaging attacks on Israel’s legitimacy, and through its Legal Fund and network of more than 350 attorneys worldwide, the LP offers pro bono representation to:
  • Fight terror-front organizations
  • Protect Jewish students facing harassment and discrimination on campus
  • Penalize and prohibit unlawful discrimination based on ethnicity/national origin
  • Challenge the perversion and misapplication of human rights law
Recent exciting LP actions include:
If you know students facing harassment or discrimination on campus, make sure they Know Their Rights!, and reach out to the LP for help!

We are grateful to The Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation for their inspiration, support, and impact.
