Season is definitely here and judging by the activity this weekend, we are in for a fantastic 2016-2017 season. A majority of Addison members have returned and it seemed like everyone showed up at Styr Friday evening to mix it up, meet and greet. Happy Hour was well attended and everyone seemed to be enjoying each other while dancing the night away. Appetizers were plentiful and the drinks were all half price. It was obvious that everyone was happy to be home. Styr is the place to be, here in Addison Reserve.
Sunday was a busy day at Addison. First, there was the Opening Couples Golf Tournament, where 160 members played 18 holes of very competitive golf, followed by a banquet dinner in our main dining room. It was a great tournament, as always, and truly showed the spirit of our club. Again, Karen & Kevin, our Directors of golf, did an amazing job of organizing a wonderful event for our members. We weren't able to play, showing homes during the day, but we heard from so many members, that it was a great day of golf at Addison.

Also on Sunday was Football at Styr. Many of our regular sports fans were busy on the golf course but there were plenty of members and guests cheering on their favorite teams. Our big screen showcased a fantastic Giant victory over their rival Eagles much to the dismay of Steve Goldenberg, pictured below. Another much watched game was The Dolphins victory over those disappointing New York Jets. "
Oh the bitter defeat." We also had a number of Pittsburg Steelers fans walk away again in defeat and finally, the 4:30 game where those Green Bay Packers took a nasty defeat which left our Wisconsin contingent very unhappy. Of course, there's always next week.
Sunday evening, the weather was beautiful, which made the season opening of our Bistro, at The Esplanade, perfect! There was a new and varied menu available. The restaurant was busy, both inside and out, the food was delicious, and our new waitresses from Austria were sweet, pretty, and helpful.

Wednesday was the men's golf openning day. 18 holes were played in magnificent 79 degree weather.

As for our Addison Reserve real estate update, we now have 42 homes on the market for sale. Our prices range from $285,000-$3,750,000. We have 17 estate homes and 25 zero lot line homes, of which 33 have golf and 9 have sports memberships. This week we had no new listings but we did have 3 price adjustments.
