Friday evening at Styr, always a happening, continues to bring out our membership to meet and greet each other every week. During the summer months of our season, Addison Reserve closes parts of their facility at different times during the off-season. For the last 3 weeks, our golf courses have been closed, and last week, our pool closed for good. Also, our major "Lifestyle Project" is coming to its conclusion and a grand opening will be planned in the very near future. Hence, throughout these last few weeks, many members have chosen to take vacations up north or go to family and friends for a brief trip somewhere new and exciting. But, that still leaves a core of members who remain to play tennis, pickleball, cards, swim and of course eat, at our amazing dining venues here in Addison Reserve. Friday evening at Styr, despite numerous members being away, others invited guests to enjoyed the best that Addison offers. The music was amazing as we danced, ate, drank & enjoyed each others company. There were quite a few reciprocals from Polo Club & Broken Sound enjoying their evening at our club as well. One of the reciprocals, who we happen to know, commented to us how nice it was that our staff welcomed their entire group into our club, almost as if they were part of the Addison family. They thought our club was great! What a nice thing to hear.

This past week, the Spa furnishings and equipment, along with the pool furniture, were delivered. There is a tremendous amount of activity taking place right now on the construction site. The installation of the new roof on the Clubhouse has started and is expected to take 3 to 5 more weeks. Once completed, we are going to begin painting the building. Remember to be careful as the work is being done at the Clubhouse.
Another project is on the way and here is what you have to know:
Sidewalk Improvement
Beginning next week (August 19, 2019), depending on weather, we anticipate replacing a large section of sidewalk across from the Club, on Addison Reserve Boulevard, moving west.
The area, beginning and ending, signified by the blue arrows, has received a number of comments about the diminishing walkability/driveability of the sidewalk for pedestrian traffic.
As a result of the necessary work, and for your safety, we will be closing this section of sidewalk and directing all pedestrian and golf cart traffic to utilize the tunnel to get to and from the Club from the Western portion of the property.
As you can see we are now working feverishly on the completion of several projects, reading ourselves for the return of all of our Snowbirds!

Starting on Friday, August 15, Members will be able to utilize Gleneagles's Fitness Center and pool area. Please enter Gleneagles through their Linton gate entrance. Every member must present a valid driver's license to gain access into the gate and their fitness center. We have included a link to Gleneagles Group Fitness and Water Aerobics Schedule. Spin Class will NOT be available to our membership. We will be sending an additional email next week with The Polo Club's Hours of Operations and fitness class schedule.

Fitness Classes:
Addison's membership will be able to attend all our group fitness classes in a temporary studio space located in our Sales Center. All water aerobics classes, Allegro Pilates' classes and spin classes will be cancelled. For any additional information contact us at 561-637-4070 between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm daily.
Spa Services:
Addison's Membership will be able to receive massages and manicure appointments at our Sales Center. Appointments will be scheduled on a first come basis, as we will only have one room for each service. Facials, waxing and pedicure service will NOT be available. All appointments can be made by contacting us at 561-455-1227 during the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm daily.

Phil & Matty Diamant traveled to Cesky Krumlov, Czechoslovakia which they
described
as a Fairytale Town and very quaint. When they arrived in Vienna, although it was very beautiful, their feet hurt from the cobblestones. The trip looked very interesting! Thank you for sharing.
