Announcing Design x Diversity

Join us at East Los Angeles on April 13th, 2024, for our third annual ACLA Design by Diversity Block Party.

DxD Day is a once-yearly event that connects professionals to students across many experience levels to create a "circular mentorship" platform to introduce interest in design professions at a young age and encourage retention of diverse design professionals at all stages of their careers. This Block Party-style event will include a variety of ways to engage, from information and activity booths to mentoring sessions, exhibitions, speakers, and more.

This year, we will be celebrating Helen Liu Fong, a true pioneer who not only forged paths as a female Chinese American architect in a male-dominated profession but also had a major influence in popularizing Googie architecture in the '50s and '60s. Come learn more about Helen at the Block Party!
