Gina Spagnola Finalist for National Excellence in Leadership Award

The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce has been notified that Gina Spagnola, President and CEO, has been selected as one of ten national finalists for the 2016 Glenn Shepard Excellence in Leadership Award.

The annual Glenn Shepard Excellence in Leadership honors outstanding individuals who have the supreme quality of leadership and integrity. In addition, these outstanding performers inspire others to dream more, do more, and be more. Their teams accomplish amazing things under their leadership by doing what others don't think possible.

Gina Spagnola was selected out of 1,936 submissions from 43 states and 6 countries. Members of the community contributed to the nomination with letters of support applauding her leadership for the past 13 years. The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce, established in 1845, is the oldest Chamber in the State of Texas and 845 members strong. Spagnola embodies the mission of the Chamber to advocate and promote business.

She has kept the organization energized and excited about the future growth of the region through the development of numerous committees. All committees developed under her leadership collaborate on programs within their mission statements.  A finalist will be chosen from the top ten in 2017.
