Message from the Dean

Dear Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Friends,

Spring is always a great time in the College of Engineering, and this year was no exception. We had a fantastic time celebrating Engineers Week last month, with events that brought energy, creativity, and a strong sense of community across our college. It was great to see so many students, faculty, staff, and partners come together to celebrate what it means to be an engineer.

I'd also like to extend my sincere thanks to the members of the Dean's Advisory Council for their continued support and engagement. A special thank you to Mr. Patrick Garcia for his leadership and service as chair over the past two years. His contributions have made a meaningful impact on our college.

David Jáuregui, Ph.D.

Interim Dean

Additionally, I want to recognize the faculty and staff who were honored during the awards banquet at the conclusion of Engineers Week. Your dedication and hard work are what drive our success every day. As we look ahead, we're excited for what's to come and the continued momentum across the College.

The work happening across our faculty is making a real difference-in research, in the classroom, and in our state. I encourage you to learn more by exploring the stories below and watching the videos at the end of this newsletter.
