The Aging Report
Join An Online Community of Learners
AgeGuide is excited to announce our partnership with GetSetUp, an online community of people who want to learn new skills, connect with others, and unlock new life experiences.

GetSetUp offers a virtual social and interactive learning environment specially designed for older adults, with over 170 classes available on everything from how to get started with technology to making healthy meals.
Retired professionals teach their peers in small classes to ensure that everyone is able to get the time and attention they need to achieve their individual goals.

To help older adults learn something new and stay connected, AgeGuide made these interactive online classes available to you at no cost through February 28, 2022.

Learn how to use Zoom, learn more about your mobile phone, or take an exercise or art class! Every class is free to older adults living in AgeGuide's 8-county service area. All you need to do is fill out the form and you will be all set!

GetSetUp Testimonial:

"I want to thank you for providing access to the GetSetUp training services online. The diversity of the offerings amazes me. While my primary interests lie in technology, they also have programs dealing with physical and mental health issues, literature, arts, virtual museum tours, food, and more. The instructors are top notch. They know the material and explain it well. They are always enthusiastic, encouraging, and supportive. I've attended over 40 training sessions and gained useful information from every one of them."

FY20 Annual Report
The Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2020 is a snapshot of our evolving role in operating a complex delivery system of Older Americans Act (OAA) services for older adults and their caregivers in Northeastern Illinois. This report highlights how AgeGuide pivoted during the COVID-19 pandemic to continue serving and advocating for older adults and providing the vital services they needed to stay safe and healthy in their homes.

This report also highlights our fiscal stewardship in maximizing the use of public and private funding to serve as many older adults as possible.

We look forward to the return of in-person activities, but for now, we will advocate together while apart.
