Recess is over, Congress is back in session, and it’s time to advocate! Two action alerts need your attention. Please click each link to send a message to your representatives.

1.     Older Americans Act (OAA) Reauthorization

OAA authorization expires at the end of FY 2024. Policymakers need to update the Act, which supports millions of older adults and caregivers, and is the foundation of the Aging Network. Advocate now to help ensure the reauthorization of the Older Americans Act.

2.     Federal Budget for Older Americans Act Programs

The Senate and House each released their proposed FY 2025 appropriations levels. The Senate Bill contains fewer cuts to older adult services than the House Bill.  Congress will begin negotiations between the two bills on October 1.
