A SMASHING SUCCESS:
OUR FOURTH ANNUAL COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP CELEBRATION
Our fourth annual Community Partnership Celebration on November 6 was our most successful one yet. We raised more money and brought more new partners to the table than ever before. The highlight of the evening was families from our organization presenting the awards while sharing their reflections and stories.

Families as Allies is grateful to Attorney General Hood for establishing this Task Force and inviting Families as Allies to serve on it. You can learn more details about the Task Force from this
press release.
We want to publicly thank Attorney General Hood for expressing willingness to help bring back together the Interagency Coordinating Council for CHildren and Youth. We have encouraged him to coordinate these efforts with Governor Bryant's plans for a Children's Cabinet and to use the Children's TAC report as a guide to coordinate the two. Families as Allies hopes to collaborate with NAMI MS and the Association of Mississippi Peer Support Specialists to gather as much feedback as possible from families and those receiving services.
Keep your eyes and ears open for surveys, town halls and other ways to make your voice heard coming your way soon!
At the time of this writing, the Task Force remained closed to the public and the press. Families as Allies supports it being open to both and has consistently voted in this manner. We will keep you updated on any changes in the status of these meetings.
