The Amazing Give is approaching and we couldn’t be more excited. If you're not familiar, The Amazing Give is a 24-hour day of online giving in North Central Florida.
Last year, we raised more than $10,000 for our ReadingPals program. It awarded us the opportunity to enhance the program and extend literacy engagement among the participating students into the summer, increasing the impact the program is making in our community.

With the donations we received, our ReadingPals Coordinator, Rahkiah Brown, purchased book packs full of books, workbooks and school supplies for all 150 ReadingPals students. These book packs are incredible tools that help prevent the loss of reading gains over the summer months also known as “the summer slide.” In addition, all nine of our sites received new reading resources games and materials that volunteers use with their students each week, which makes their time together fun and engaging. Last but not least, The Amazing Give allowed us to jump start a peer-mentoring reading program at our partner site, Girls Place, Inc. This program empowers fourth and fifth grade girls to read to their younger kindergarten peers, by modeling leadership and reading engagement.

The Amazing Give officially starts on March 20 at 6 p.m. and ends on March 21 at 6 p.m. but donations open on March 11! And be sure to join us at the Bagel Bakery on March 21 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. for our AMAZING kick off breakfast! For more information about the kick off, click below.
