Hello CTAs,

My name is Tracy Koch and I have been given the honor of overseeing Sonoma County’s Certified Tourism Ambassador program . I’ve spent the past 20 years involved in several of Sonoma County’s tourism and hospitality facing industries (including lodging, wine, restaurants, and event planning) and I’m excited to apply my experience to this program and join you as a champion for Sonoma County.

I’m so appreciative for all the warm welcomes I’ve received so far. I look forward to meeting you all in the coming months.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to log your CTA renewal points and take advantage of early bird renewal pricing before the October 31 deadline.

We have exciting plans for 2020, and you won’t want to miss out!

But before that we have our yearly CTA holiday luncheon in December at Union Hotel in Occidental. Make sure to check the save-the-date announcement below.

I would also like to direct your attention to SCT’s new Travel Kindly pledge. I hope you will all consider signing and sharing it with others.

Thank you for your commitment to Sonoma County Tourism’s CTA Program. Your passion for and knowledge of Sonoma County goes a long way in providing an exceptional experience for our visitors.

All my best,
Tracy Koch

It’s time to renew your certification for 2020 at the early bird rate of $25.00 ($35.00 after 10/31/19)

Remember: You need 50 points to renew. But accruing points is easy! In the last year, have you been to a winery? A regional park? A farmers market? A museum? Have you volunteered? Read a CTA newsletter? Chances are you’ve accumulated well above the required minimum.

Please visit the CTA Network here: https://www.ctanetwork.com/ to log your points and complete the renewal process.

Forgotten your login credentials? No problem! Just reply to this email with your first and last name and I’d be happy to look it up for you.

Our Community Engagement Specialist, Devin McConnell, has also recorded a quick video providing step-by-step instruction on how to navigate through the renewal system.

You can view it here: https://vimeo.com/364130936

Again, the deadline for early bird renewal is 10/31.
Grand Harvest Educational Tour Recap

Thirty-four lucky CTAs joined our Culinary Ambassador Clark Wolf on an unforgettable tour of some of Sonoma County’s most dynamic farms, including: Zureal and Yael Bernier’s farm in Alexander Valley, Front Porch Farm in Healdsburg, Duckworth Farm in Sebastopol, and Caseri Ranch in Bodega.

We were greeted with such warmth and hospitality at each location, we can’t thank these farms enough for being such gracious hosts, especially during the busy harvest season!

Additional thanks to Michele Anna Jordan for making such a fantastic meal, to Pure Luxury Transportation all of their help, and of course to the spectacular Clark Wolf, who made everything possible.

Sign and Share the Pledge to Travel Kindly in Sonoma County

As part of Sonoma County Tourism’s commitment to sustainability and destination stewardship, we are encouraging all CTAs to pledge your support to ‘Traveling Kindly’ across Sonoma County, and choosing to make a positive impact to the health and well-being of our thriving local communities, abundant experiences, and breath-taking natural landscapes.
Please consider signing the pledge, and invite others to do the same.

As a thank you, any CTA that signs the pledge can count it as five points towards their certification renewal.
