Tenth Sunday after Pentecost
August 6, 2023
In-Person & Streaming- 10:30 AM
In today’s first reading God invites all who are hungry or thirsty to receive food and drink without cost. Jesus feeds the hungry multitude and reveals the abundance of God. At the eucharistic table we remember all who are hungry or poor in our world today. As we share the bread of life, we are sent forth to give ourselves away as bread for the hungry.

Psalm 17:1-7, 15

New Hope is on our RIC Journey
Join us on a journey toward inclusivity and diversity through the Reconciling in Christ movement (RIC). The NHLC Welcome and Inclusion Working Group openly supports and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, racial and ethnic minorities, promoting love, acceptance, and inclusivity, just as Jesus did during his ministry, to bring hope to those who need it and revitalize our congregation. Stay updated with our regular posts, events, and dialogues by watching for updates here. Click below to see detailed posts about what’s happening!
Meet Barbara Wadzuk, a member of the Welcome and Inclusion Working Group and find out why she feels that becoming RIC is important for New Hope and our neighbors by clicking the button below.

New Hope’s Partnership
With Armstrong Elementary
Hello, everyone. Classes will resume on
August 9th at Armstrong Elementary. With that in mind, all returning volunteers to the school campus as well as new volunteers must renew or complete the required criminal background check. This includes all returning volunteers as well as new volunteers. The link below will take you to the appropriate Fort Bend ISD web page to begin this process. If you need help or have questions, please contact Joan Keahey. New to volunteering at Armstrong? Watch the “Anchor” for upcoming opportunities to participate in one of New Hope’s community partnerships. Thank you!
