Postal Rates

The USPS started the year off with a rate increase for parcel mailings. As of now, the USPS has agreed to not increase First-Class mail, large envelopes, or postcard mailings for January 2022. The following outlines the average increase for parcel and media mail mailings.

Priority Mail Express

Average increase of 4.3% (commercial base)

Priority Mail

Average increase of 2.7% (commercial base)

Flat Rate - Priority Mail Express

Average increase of 3.0%.

Media Mail

Average increase of 12.1%.

USPS Future Delivery Truck

The future USPS delivery truck is now on display at CES in Las Vegas. The postal truck is set to receive its first upgrade in about 30 years. The "next-generation delivery vehicles" stand at 9.5 feet tall, stretch to 19.6 feet long, and are 7 feet wide. The larger upgrade is aimed to help with the future of parcel delivery.
