Dear Friend,

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday. With the holiday season just around the corner, we invite you to start the season of giving by helping the animals of HSHC.

This year we have taken in an extraordinary amount of owner-surrendered animals. In addition to an increased number of animals to care for, we have also been battling the rising cost of inflation.

Luckily, on this global day of giving we - with your help - have a chance to raise $30,000. This will provide 60 animals their best chance at a second chance.
Birdie
Birdie is a stunning silver lab that was surrendered due to her health issues. Birdie is unable to absorb Vitamin B12 and is also suffering from a ligament tear in her leg. Regardless of her medical issues, HSHC is determined to find Birdie her perfect family, because we believe that every animal deserves a home regardless of breed, age, special medical needs, and disabilities.
Missy
A beautiful stray tabby came to us in March 2021, we named her Missy. For over a year she was passed over due to her skin issues, allergies, and anxiety. Our staff knew that the right person was out there for Missy, we just had to find them. In May 2022, that person walked into HSHC and adopted her. Even though her skin won't win her a beauty pageant, she won the best gift possible-
a loving home.
Leila
Imagine being a stray and being in so much pain with no one to help you. That was Leila's reality until someone found her and brought her to HSHC. Upon arrival, Leila was suffering from joint problems and we later found that she had a tumor on her hip. The tumor was removed, however she is still sitting in our shelter, waiting for the love of a human. We won't give up on you, Leila.
Luke
Luke is a shy guy who has shut down in the shelter, but can you blame him? He was surrendered due to his family moving after living with them for 7 years. Luke is currently in a foster home, but nothing compares to a permanent place to call home. Luke has been in our care for 10 months and we will wait as long as it takes - whatever it takes - to find him a loving person to give him a chance.
Give each animal in our care the chance to
live, love and be loved.
Thank you for being a part of this movement. By joining forces to give generously, we can make a huge difference in the lives of homeless and neglected pets in our community.
