Almighty and gracious Father, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

A Note from Deacon Bruce: HELP!
Dear Friends,

November 28th is the First Sunday in Advent. We are woefully unprepared for Advent and Christmas, as there are to be three services on Christmas Eve; 4 pm, 6 pm and 8 pm, and Christmas Day at 9 am. We need help setting up, as the Altar linens need to be changed, candles filled and the chalice dressed for each service.

There are special linens that will need to be washed and ironed for the 12 days of Christmas, as well.

Please consider joining this ministry as we only have two Guild members for the 10:15 service.

Deacon Kathy and I are willing to assist, but in so doing we are not being altogether to our ordination vows.

Please be prayerful and let Julie Lind, 941-778-7531, know your decision. Men are especially welcome to set up candles; they are heavy!

Wishing you all an Advent of Hope, Joy, Love and Peace.

Thank you for all the warm coats!

If you planning on but haven't already done so, there is still time to help those in need stay warm this winter! Monday, November 22, is the deadline to drop off your donations, as they will be delivered to Turning Points before Thanksgiving.

Give Joy this Christmas

The Angel Tree has arrived
in Lowe Hall!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all those who are helping our local children in need. All the Angels have spoken for!

As a reminder, please wrap each gift individually, and place them in a large Christmas bag. Write your child's name on a gift tag, attaching it on the Christmas bag to identify your Angel.

The deadline to return gifts to the church is December 5th.

Please contact Penny Chapin at 941.812.5416, Joan Barraclough at 419.367.3925 or the church office at 941.778.1638 if you have any questions.

Prayer Request
Please contact the church office, by email, phone or just a note and let us know who you would like to be placed on the prayer list, including those who might currently be on it.
