APRIL COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER

Dear {First Name},

“April showers bring May flowers” means that even after long periods of adversity, good times will follow. April ushers in Spring. We sometimes get great weather. When we do, make sure you celebrate it. We also get Good Friday and Easter. Some might say it’s not the “two big” holidays, but for others, it is number one. Regardless of your holiday choices, I think we can agree that April reminds us that good weather is right around the corner. And that is cause for celebration.
Last month the Chamber hosted it’s 59th Annual Community Awards. This Awards event was a chance for the community to say thank you to all the amazing and hardworking public servants, teachers, businesses and incredible residents who volunteer their time and talents that make Glen Ellyn a wonderful community!
Weekly emails are returning on Mondays to update everyone on the next phase of Streetscape. Tree removal has begun this week and temporary street lighting installation begins next week.
There’s a lot of exciting things in the works. Stay tuned!

Students will need problem-solving and communication skills, resilience, and flexibility no matter what field of study they pursue. Author John Spencer believes that members of tomorrow’s workforce will also need to be curious and collaborative. Nurturing these characteristics will help students have agency over their education and become self-directed learners who can navigate challenges.
