Each April, we look forward to celebrating Autism Acceptance Month and Neurodiversity Acceptance Month. People who are neurodivergent often struggle to feel accepted, to be seen for their strength, and to be valued for all the humanity they have to offer. In this edition of Limelight, you will find some important information on Autism Acceptance Month and how you can join in on celebrations.

Read To Me Day- March 2026

Our Care, Culture and Connection Committee planned an incredible opportunity for staff and people supported from different parts of our organization to visit our Children's Services classrooms as guest readers for ‘Read to me Day. In total, 22 classes got the opportunity to welcome ACLD staff and people supported into their classrooms. A huge thank you to Cait Poller, Development Associate, for putting together this fantastic day.

I was in a coffee shop in my town a few weeks ago, waiting for my order, when I took a moment to appreciate all the art around the space. I walked over to one piece and realized the artist was none other than our very own Frenal Mezilas! It was a really cool moment of some ACLD pride out in the community. Congratulations Frenal, keep up the amazing work!
