In-Person Section Conference

Online Registration Closes April 22!

Our Section Conference online registration will be closing on Friday, April 22. Onsite registration will open in the Tacoma Convention Center on Tuesday, April 26 from 3-6pm. If you register onsite meals will NOT be included in your registration.

Thanks to the recent decision by the State of Washington - MASKS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED! However, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask you are encouraged to do so.

The technical program has been approved for CEUs.

Wastewater Track - Approved for 0.6 CEUs
Washington

New this year -

Vendor Hall Reception and Best Tasting Water Contest - Kick off your conference experience with our Wednesday evening vendor hall reception. Enjoy great appetizers and drinks before heading out to one of the many Tacoma restaurants for dinner. Take in the Best Tasting Water Contest and find out who in our Section will be representing the northwest at ACE in Texas in June. Or, perhaps you might be interested in the Trivia Night where you can win some fun prizes as you show off your knowledge in trivia with a few industry questions thrown in as well! (Unfortunately due to COVID and supply issues our pipe tapping, hydrant hysteria and meter madness competitions will not be taking place this year.)

Professional Operator Pinning Ceremony - Water Professionals International (formally ABC) will be presenting a pinning ceremony Thursday at lunch, right outside the vendor hall.

Friday Awards Luncheon - New this year we have done away with our closing night banquet and instead moved our Section Awards presentations to our Awards Luncheon so everyone can attend. Expect a great lunch and wonderful gift as you watch your peers receive recognition for their volunteer hours supporting our industry.

Donate to the Conference Silent Auction

The Silent Auction is back for the 2022 annual Section Conference which benefits the PNWS philanthropic efforts - Water For People, The Water Equation and the Education and Training Fund.

Donations of all sorts will be accepted including handmade one of a kind objects.

This year the auction runs all day Thursday and closes at 3pm on Friday. Items purchased can be picked up when the conference concludes at 5pm.

Join Your fellow PNWS-AWWA Members

WE Walk 2022 will raise funds for the Water Equation's water and wastewater operator education, young professional leadership programs and youth STEAM education programs.

Walla Walla For Water 2022

Benefitting PNWS and AWWA Charities

Register now to attend Walla Walla for Water 2022, on May 21 at Brook and Bull Cellars. Come taste award-winning wines and network with fellow water industry professionals on Brook and Bull's outdoor patio, all while supporting PNWS's philanthropic efforts of Water For People, the Education and Training Fund and the Water Equation.

Tickets are $40 per person and include two glasses of wine and appetizers.

Sponsor opportunities do exist and underwrite the event thereby allowing all proceeds raised to directly benefit our philanthropies mentioned above.

A block of hotel rooms have been reserved at the Walla Walla Courtyard Marriott. The room block closes on April 21 so don't delay making your hotel reservations.

Heathen Brewing - Feral Public House

Join the Lower Columbia Subsection for their annual Beer for Water event at the Heathen Brewing Feral Public House in Vancouver on Friday, June 3.

Your registration includes two drink tickets and delicious food. There will be some exciting raffle prices, a great atmosphere and a chance to come together in support of Water For People.

Virtual Mentorship Meet-Up

And Connect with Section Conference First Time Attendees

Interested in learning about the PNWS Mentorship Program? Attending the Section Conference for the first time and want to connect ahead of time? Or just want to hang out with fellow AWWA members across the section for a fun informal social mixer? Join us Wednesday, April 13 from 5 - 6:15pm.

The program will start with a quick information session on the PNWS Mentorship Program followed by a group icebreaker, then we will break out into smaller groups for networking.
