BRANKSOME LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Kathryn Barnes Appointed Deputy Principal

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Kathryn Barnes as the school’s Deputy Principal, effective August 10, 2026. As Deputy Principal, Kathryn will oversee all school divisions and lead our overarching well-being vision for all grades. The Heads of the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools, as well as the Head, Student Support, will report directly to her, ensuring an enriching, seamless and holistic experience for every Branksome student.

As we look to the future, we must recognize the exceptional leadership of Kimberly BROOKER Carter'96 and thank her for her outstanding service as Interim Deputy Principal over this year. Kimberly is truly shining in this role; however, after much consideration and self-reflection, she feels that her passion remains in Enrolment Management. We are thrilled, therefore, that Kimberly will return to her permanent role as Head, Enrolment Management on July 1, 2026.

From practising techniques such as laparoscopic suturing to participating in high-tech chest-opening simulations, these aspiring medical professionals got a front-row seat to the future of healthcare. Guided by world-class female physician leaders, our students moved beyond the classroom to see exactly what it takes to save lives.
