The Arc Welcomes Newest Advocate Jilda Falco

The Arc is pleased to welcome Jilda Falco, who joined our Advocacy Team as a Director of Adult Advocacy in April. This new position expands our adult advocacy team.

Jilda is originally from upstate New York; however, she's lived in Denver for just under 9 years. She's been serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over nine years, and it's work that she absolutely loves. She’s passionate about supporting people with I/DD to lead self-determined lives full of meaning and inclusion.

In her free time she enjoys being outside: camping, gardening, running and spending time with her dog. Jilda is grateful to join The Arc’s incredible team!
Open Doors to Independence with Travel Training

Travel Training is the perfect place to address your concerns about trying, or maybe retrying, public transportation. Via & RTD Travel Trainers understand the reality of public transportation for people with I/DD, and they have been helping people learn about it for years. They also offer free individual travel training, during which travel trainers work one-on-one with a trainee for as long as it takes to insure safe, independent travel. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities, family members and caregivers are welcome to attend this intro Travel Training.

Take a Short Housing Survey and Get $15!

The Arc is working with The Council on Quality and Leadership to do housing research about how people with disabilities decide on where they will live in the future.

Help with this research by completing an online survey. It'll ask you questions about where you live and why you decided to live there. It'll also ask you to share your thoughts about where you want to live in the future.

NOTE: This survey is open ONLY to people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

This survey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
