COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

2026 CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION

The Office of Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari is excited to invite high school students across our district to showcase their creativity in this year’s Congressional Art Competition and we would love your help spreading the word!

Each spring, the Congressional Institute hosts this nationwide visual arts competition to celebrate and uplift young artists. Since its launch in 1982, more than 650,000 students from across the country have participated, making it one of the most prestigious student art competitions in the nation.

Hosted by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, the competition is made possible through close collaboration with local art teachers. Students submit their artwork to our office, where a panel of district artists selects the winning piece.

What’s in it for students?

The winning artist receives local recognition and is honored at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Congressional Institute. Their artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one full year. In addition, a runner-up and select entries may be showcased in our District Office.

Submission Deadline: April 6

Submission Link: https://bit.ly/AZ03ArtComp

Submission Instructions: https://ansari.house.gov/services/congressional-art-competition

We encourage you to share this opportunity with your students—especially those with a passion for visual arts. Participating is a meaningful way for students to gain recognition, confidence, and exposure for their work on a national stage.

If you have any questions or would like flyers, guidelines, or other materials to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for supporting student creativity and helping us celebrate the incredible talent in our district!
