Thanks to the voter‑approved 2023 GO Bond (and the persistent advocacy of our leadership), the City of Phoenix invested in cultural facilities and public art which included long‑awaited upgrades to the Third Street Theater at Phoenix Center for the Arts.

We are deeply grateful to the City of Phoenix for this commitment and to the Office of Arts + Culture for steadfast advocacy that keeps artists, families, and community spaces at the forefront.

Our creative home has been transformed with new lighting, sound, seating, and more tools that will nurture the next generation of artists and storytellers.

Check out a few videos and pictures from when we hosted our City officials to showcase the facility upgrades and renovations.

UPCOMING EVENTS

FEATURED EXHIBITS

February 27–28, 2026

At Phoenix Center for the Arts, we believe arts and culture are essential tools for learning, connection, and cultural exchange. This Black History Month, we invite you to experience Living Black Worlds—a two‑day immersive cultural activation curated by Black River Life that centers Black creativity as something living, evolving, and shared.

Over two days, our campus will come alive through experiences designed to engage the mind, hands, and body, including:

  • readings, conversations, and documentary screenings
  • hands‑on workshops and creative making traditions
  • dance classes, music, gallery experiences, and evening celebrations

Rather than observing from the sidelines, Living Black Worlds invites participation, reflection, and connection—offering multiple ways to engage whether you come to listen, create, move, or simply be present.

Rooted in Black culture and joy, this experience is open to the entire community and reflects our commitment to creating spaces where people can learn with one another through art.

We hope you’ll join us.

This event is part of Phoenix Center for the Arts’ ongoing commitment to accessible, community‑centered cultural programming for all.
