The Art and Experience of Writing Mystical Poetry

Find the time in your area HERE.

This 90-minute, interactive, three-session workshop will give participants an experience of mystical poetry and, in the process, describe the essential elements of mystical experience. To that end, we will be exploring the mystical nature of God, reality, aging, and activism.

Poetry will be read in a sacred space to deepen its impact and provide a powerful stimulus for personal and spiritual growth. No prior experience with reading or writing poetry is necessary, but participants will receive guidance in writing their own mystical poetry.

All that’s required is an interest in poetry and curiosity about mysticism. We will also explore mystical poetry as a spiritual practice. The great mystical poets of the past - Rumi, Hafez, Kabir, and Gibran - left a tradition for others to follow. It’s time to bring the poetry of revelation to a modern audience.
