Portrait of a Picture
Wladyslaw Prosol
November 5 – December 11, 2021
Opening Night: Friday, November 5, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Wladyslaw Prosol is a Polish-American artist and architect. He has a master's degree in architecture and art from the Krakow Polytechnic University.
Wladyslaw works in acrylic, oil and experimental art. His work is inspired by a fascination with what happens at the moment when we recognize visions in the mind’s eye and rapidly manifest them in the form of painting. This approach automatically provokes questions about the role of traditional painting and its impact in the context of digital art.

James Baldwin
No. 19 on Modern Library list of the 100 best 20th-century nonfiction books
One of his most admired works, James Baldwin's essays on race, civil rights movement and life are as powerful and important today as when they were first written in 1955.
“Written with bitter clarity and uncommon grace.” – Time
“A straight-from-the-shoulder writer, writing about the troubled problems of this troubled earth with an illuminating intensity.”
– Langston Hughes, The New York Times Book Review

James Baldwin
A beautifully written love story that inspired the award-winning major motion picture, James Baldwin has given America a moving story of love in the face of injustice.
“A moving, painful story, so vividly human and so obviously based on reality that it strikes us as timeless.” – The New York Times Book Review
"If Van Gogh was our nineteenth-century artist-saint, James Baldwin is our twentieth century one." –Michael Ondaatje
"A major work of Black American fiction." – The New Republic
