VOICE OF THE GAVEL

Hello Brother and Sister Artisans;

  I can not believe that my term as your M.E.M.A. is already half way over, the time has just flown by this past year. We have so many fun things to do this spring and summer with the Artisans. The 150th Anniversary dinner will be an event to remember. With two great shows and a fantastic dinner I am sure our members will have a fantastic time at this event. Our 76th annual Ocean City outing is almost here. Saturday will be a fun filled day that will start out with the St. John's pool party. After the pool party you will be able to go next door next door to the Castaway Cove Amusement pier and enjoy 2 hours of rides and fun. Finally we end the day with our annual Miss Artisan pageant at the music pier.

Please make sure to read your Artisan and check our Facebook page and the Artisan website to keep up with all the upcoming activities and events.

Fraternally,

Carla Werner - M.E.M.A.

UPCOMING EVENTS

See attached flyers

The Golden Artisans had a great time at their meeting in March. The Goldens were celebrating St. Patricks Day with a lot of food and fun. If you are interested in joining the Golden Artisans or attending one of their trips please look at the attached flyers.

The Game nights at the Artisan Hall have been a big hit with members of all ages, 35 people attended the last one in March. The next game night will be held in September. Great Job Helen and Dave on setting up this fun filled activity.

M.E. SUPERINTENDENT LETTER

Hello Juniors!

We have had a very exciting start to the New Year. We had a Valentine's craft day activity in which all of the Junior Artisans that attended made various Valentine crafts, had snacks and then were treated to fun time in the Artisans arcade. Recently we had the annual St. Johns Easter Egg Hunt. All of the Junior Artisans were given an Easter Egg bag to help collect the prize eggs they found hidden throughout the Hall. All of the eggs were filled with many kinds of candy. Some of the eggs even had surprise notes inside that entitled the Junior to a special surprise gift. After the hunt all of he Juniors were then treated to pizza and fun time in the arcade. To top the morning off we even had a special visit from the Easter Bunny, Peter Rabbit. All of the children and adults who attended this annual event had a great time.

We have the upcoming Ocean City weekend on June 9th thru the 11th. On Saturday you can enjoy the pool party, have fun on the rides next door at the Castaway Cove and finally, go to the music pier to watch the Miss Artisan pageant and show. I hope you can join us for this fun filled weekend. Tickets for the pier and mini golf will be available for sale at the office starting April 24th. Due to the problems with the post office all tickets must be picked up at the office.

We will be having our annual St. Johns Halloween event on Saturday October 28th, more details will be available online at a later date. Please check our website and Facebook page for details on all of our upcoming events. I hope to see everyone at our upcoming events.

                                                Fraternally yours,

                                                Helen Szafran, M.E.S.

St. Johns Easter Egg Hunt

A little bit of rain did not stop the annual St. Johns Easter Egg hunt from going on at the hall. Over 60 members attended this fun filled event. After the egg hunt, and a visit by the Easter Bunny, everybody was treated to a fun time in the game room where lunch was provided along with two hours of fun on the arcade games. A big shout out to Tod and Geri Davies for putting this fun filled event together.
