From the CEO
FreeState had a unique opportunity to host 40 youth from Kansas and Hawaii who were on their way to the annual Cooperative Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. We have been on the schedule for the Hawaii and Kansas delegation for years, and every year, I remind myself that we have an opportunity to expose these youth to more than just a bucket truck ride, a safety demonstration and seeing a cooperative office.

Cooperative Youth Tour
Two Tonganoxie students attended the 59th Annual Electric Cooperative Youth Tour June 13-20 with more than 1,800 peers from across the nation. An opportunity to take part in a program that promotes life skills that today’s generation value, including building relationships, developing leadership skills and preparing them for what’s next.

Delegates Visit FreeState
The Kansas Hawaii delegates visited FreeState Electric Cooperative before jetting off to Washington D.C. for the annual Youth Tour. Read about their visit in this online exclusive!

Energy Use Coordinator Matt Lambert will answer questions about energy efficiency, renewables, co-op programs, and everything in between. Email Matt your question and it may be featured in Kansas Country Living or The Signal. FreeState will not use your name if your question is answered in print or online unless you specifically request us to do so.
