The indwelling Holy Spirit
Followers of Jesus take comfort in knowing the Holy Spirit indwells us. That is, the third person of the Godhead has taken up permanent residence in our human spirits, from which He engages in the lifelong ministry of conforming us to the image of Christ.

Without the Spirit's continuous abiding in our hearts, we have no assurance of salvation, no soothing balm in times of trouble, no unbroken protection against the Devil's false claims of ownership ...

The afterlife awaits
You're going to live forever. The questions are where, and how. With so many views about the afterlife - from reincarnation to annihilation - is there any way to know for sure what lies beyond the grave?

What Everyone Should Know About the Afterlife briefly addresses what the Bible says about death, judgment, heaven, hell, and more.

The parable of the 10 virgins
In the middle of His Olivet Discourse, Jesus tells a parable about 10 virgins, who await the late arrival of the groom on his wedding night. This is more than a first-century story about a Jewish wedding, replete with midnight revelry and sleepy bridesmaids. It's a dire warning to the Church to stay awake and watch expectantly for the Lord's return.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the means by which God places new believers into the body of Christ. As the Holy Spirit regenerates and indwells our human spirits, bringing us new life and ensuring everlasting fellowship with God, the Spirit also immerses us into the universal church.

What Every Christian Should Know About the Trinity
The Missouri Baptist Convention has just released a new resource for personal or group study. What Every Christian Should Know About the Trinity explores the biblical foundation of belief in one true and living God, who exists as three distinct, but inseparable, co-equal, co-eternal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
