The personhood of God
The Bible tells us there is one true God, who exists as three distinct but inseparable persons. So, let's briefly consider a few ways in which the personhood of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is expressed in Scripture. This is another in a series of columns excerpted from What Every Christian Should Know about the Trinity .

Watch Witnesses Now for Jesus - Midwest
Robert M. Bowman, widely regarded as the leading evangelical scholar addressing LDS and Jehovah's Witness interpretations of the Bible, was among the featured speakers at Witnesses Now for Jesus - Midwest , held July 24-26 at Sonrise Baptist Church in Bonne Terre, Mo. If you missed the conference, you can watch the presentations on Facebook.

A look into Gehenna
The ultimate destiny of the wicked is the same habitation created for Satan and his demons -- a place in English we call "hell," and a place Jesus and the New Testament writers variously describe as Gehenna , "outer darkness," "eternal fire," "eternal punishment," "lake of fire," and "the second death."

The persons of the Trinity: distinct, not separate
In a previous column , we examined the personhood of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While the three persons of the Godhead are distinct, they cannot be separated. That is, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are co-equal and co-eternal. They exist simultaneously, not consecutively.

Seven promises in Revelation 22 - part 1
There are at least seven promises given to us in Revelation 22 that confirm Jesus’ victory over Satan, sin, and death. These promises also assure us that all the effects of the Fall are reversed in Christ’s finished work and the salvation He has provided for us by grace through faith. Excerpted from The Searcher's Guide to the Apocalypse .

Jesus Before Bethlehem
High Street Press, the publishing imprint of the Missouri Baptist Convention, offers a new resource for personal or group study: Jesus Before Bethlehem: What Every Christian Should Know About the Angel of the L ORD . This 335-page resource explores dozens of Old Testament Christophanies , or appearances of the preincarnate Christ. Written for pastors and laypersons, the study is designed to show how the eternal Son of God has always taken a personal interest in those He created to be His imagers on earth.
