BASIS Chandler Academic Decathlon | |
The Academic Decathlon team competed in the state competition on March 10th and 11th. The team finished in second place in the state! Kaden M. was the overall top scorer in the state. Miles D. was the silver medalist overall in Honors. Helena B. was the gold medalist in Scholastic, and Ashmit K. who brought home the overall bronze. Congratulations to the team for bringing home 22 individual medals! | |

National Center for Women and Information Technology
This year we had several BASIS Chandler students recognized as national award winners in the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) Aspiration in Computing competition!

The AIC recognizes young women students for their computing-related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access, and future plans.

The regular application decisions for the Class of 2023 are slowly arriving.
Reviewing the decisions so far, our students have 302 acceptances at 85 different colleges and universities.
Scholarship Update:
Institutional based merit aid remains strong this year. Individual scholarship applications continue to be submitted by the students. Based on student reporting, scholarship results include over $7.76 million in merit-based aid so far.
AND… All 30 class of 2023 NMSC candidates became National Merit Finalists last week! Congratulations to all!

Reporting Student Absences
If your student needs to be reported absent due to an illness, doctor appointment, vacation, bereavement, religious holiday, etc., please email chdh_attendance@basised.com with the student's name, grade, and reason for absence. Email is the preferred method of reporting an absence, but feel free to call our Front Office at 480-907-6072 if that is more convenient for you.
