Dear BASIS Chandler Families,
The first week of the 2022-2023 school year is in the books. It has been great having our students back in the building, and teachers and students are already hard at work in the classrooms. Club signups start next week and sport tryouts are underway, and we are excited to have these opportunities for our students as well.
A huge thank you to all of our families who are following the parking lot rules. I have received many compliments as to how smooth the parking lot is going, especially with dismissal. This is due to you, the parents, following the rules and the directions of those in the parking lot. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for helping ensure a quick, safe pickup for your students.
We are excited that this year is underway, and look forward to all that it will hold. Thank you for choosing BASIS Chandler for your student. Let's make it a great year!

Front Office Hours
For the remainder of the school year, the front office will be open 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Early Bird and Late Bird Reminders
Students can come to school as early as 7:00 AM, but must go to Early Bird. All students here for Early Bird enter and exit through the back of the school. Only late students enter through the front.

We have our first room sponsorship of the school year. A huge thank you to the Roy-Moder family for donating to the ATF and sponsoring Mr. Cole’s classroom. If you would like to sponsor a classroom and be recognized for it, please fill out the room sponsorship page from the first day packet or reach out to Mr. FritzMiller or Ms. Bryson for more information.

The Speech and Debate Club had a successful performance over the summer break!
Congratulations to our Speech and Debate Club members Jennifer V. and Raiyan C. for placing top 37 in the country in Public Forum Debate at The National Speech and Debate Tournament! If you are interested in joining the Speech and Debate team this year, make sure to sign up on Blackbaud (previously Smart for Charters)!

Please remember that a waiver and physical are required to participate in all sports tryouts, and physicals are good for one year from completion. If your child plans to participate in a sport this school year, please feel free to get it completed now for the entire school year.

Junior High and Varsity Swim |

The winning BASIS Chandler Swim Team will start its season on August 9 and 11 at 5:30 pm at Desert Oasis Pool, 1400 W. Summit Place, Chandler AZ 85224. Practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, as well as Friday mornings. Swimmers should attend practices as often as possible. The physical and waiver form are required. Please see Coach Johnson in Room 107 or email david.johnson@basised.com for information. Go Bobcats!

Club registration will begin on Monday, August 8th, at 5:00 PM and end on Friday, August 12th, at 8:00 AM. You can add clubs to your shopping cart on Blackbaud (formerly Smart For Charters). Clubs will begin meeting the week of August 15th.

This year we have opted not to do the Club Buffet. If your student has questions about what a club will look like outside of the scope of the descriptions provided in the catalog, you can email the advisor listed.

Reporting Student Absences
If your student needs to be reported absent due to an illness, doctor appointment, vacation, bereavement, religious holiday, etc., please email chdh_attendance@basised.com with the student's name, grade, and reason for absence. Email is the preferred method of reporting an absence, but feel free to call our Front Office at 480-907-6072 if that is more convenient for you.
