The Power of Volunteering in Building a Sustainable Future
Vale

"On August 28, we celebrate National Volunteer Day, a date dedicated to recognizing people who dedicate their time, talent, and energy to social transformation. In 2026, this celebration takes on even greater meaning: the United Nations (UN) has designated this as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, highlighting the importance of volunteer action in building a fairer, more inclusive, and more resilient world.
The initiative reinforces the understanding that social, environmental, and economic progress depends on the engagement of people willing to work collectively toward lasting solutions for society's challenges. In this context, volunteering is recognized as a strategic force to accelerate the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), bringing public policies closer to local needs, expanding the reach of transformative initiatives, and strengthening civic participation."
