Vale completes decharacterization work on its 19th upstream dam

Vale

"In December, Vale completed the decharacterization of the Campo Grande Dam, located at the Alegria Mine in Mariana (MG). This is the 19th project finalized by Vale, bringing the program’s execution to 63%.

During the works, the upstream elevation of the dam was removed, the structure was reconfigured, reinforcements were built, waterproofing was applied, and adjustments were made to the drainage system. All documentation and technical evidence of the decharacterization will be submitted for final validation by the competent authorities, and the structure will remain monitored for at least two years, as required by current legislation."

Centennial College Police Foundations Students Support Nearly 1,000 Refugee Families Through Project Hope 2025 in Partnership with Toronto Police Service

Centennial College

"Project Hope 2025 has once again demonstrated the extraordinary positive impact that Centennial College Police Foundations students can have through hands-on community engagement in Toronto. Now in its fourth year, the initiative brings together students from Centennial College’s Police and Public Safety Foundations Program and the Toronto Police Service 51 Division to support refugee children and families newly arrived in Canada through the donation of new toys.

"Many of these families have fled war-torn regions, often arriving with only the clothes on their backs," explains Howard Page, Program Coordinator for Police and Public Safety Foundations."
