MARKETPLACE HEALTH INSURANCE OPEN ENROLLMENT ENDED
JANUARY 15, 2022

NOW WHAT?????

YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR A SPECIAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD!
If you have certain life events, you may qualify for a Marketplace Plan in 2022.

You may qualify if you or anyone in your household has had one of these life-changing events in the past 60 days:

  • Got married: Pick a plan by the last day of the month and your coverage can start the first day of the next month.
  • Had a baby, adopted a child, or placed a child for foster care: Your coverage can start the day of the event -- even if you enroll in the plan up to 60 days afterward.
  • Got divorced or legally separated and lost health insurance: Note - Divorce or legal separation without losing coverage doesn't qualify your for a Special Enrollment Period
  • Died: You will be eligible for a Special Enrollment Period if someone on your Marketplace plan dies and as a result you are no longer eligible for your current health plan.
  • Changed residence: Household moves that qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period:
  • Moving to a new home in a new ZIP code or country
  • Moving to the United States from a foreign county or U.S. territory.
  • If you are a student, moving to or from the place you attend school.
  • If you are a seasonal worker, moving to or from the place you both live and work.
  • Moving to or from a shelter or other transitional housing.
  • Lost health insurance: You may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you or anyone in your household lost qualifying health coverage in the past 60 days or expects to lose coverage in the next 60 days.
  • Losing job-based coverage
  • Losing individual health coverage for a plan or policy you bought yourself.
  • Losing eligibility of Medicaid or CHIP.
  • Losing coverage through a family member.
  • More qualifying changes:
  • Gaining membership in a federally recognized tribe or status as an Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) Corporation shareholder.
  • Becoming newly eligible for Marketplace coverage because you became a U.S. citizen.
  • Leaving incarceration.
  • Starting or ending serve as an AmeriCorps state and national, VISTA, or NCCC member.

Health coverage is more affordable than ever.

Consumers can apply at HealthCare.gov or CuidadoDeSalud.gov
or call 2-1-1 or one of the navigators listed below.

File the proper forms to save with the premium tax credit
If you bought health insurance through the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace and qualified for discounts (premium tax credits) you need to report this on your taxes.
The premium tax credit (PTC) is a refundable credit that helps eligible individuals and families cover the premiums for their health insurance purchased through the Marketplace. Whether you accepted advanced payments or waited to apply the credits to your tax return, you must fill out and submit:
-- Form 8962, which is used to calculate the PTC and, if applicable, reconcile it with advance payment of the premium tax credit (APTC).
-- Form 1095-A, which is used to take the premium tax credit, reconcile the credit returns with the APTC, and file an accurate tax return. Consult your HealthCare.gov account or contact the Marketplace if a copy is not received by early February.
To figure out your premium tax credit or claim an affordability exemption, use the tax tools here.
For more details on the premium tax credit, see HealthCare.gov or IRS.gov.

MARKETPLACE NAVIGATORS
IN YOUR AREA

Enroll Wyoming is a grant-funded program. Even though our base of operations is in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Navigators are located statewide. Enroll Wyoming cares about our Wyoming neighbors' healthcare needs and wants to make sure that they can obtain a plan that is not only affordable but will work for themselves and their family.
Below are contact names, phone numbers or email addresses to reach one of the Navigators. Remember that Navigators do travel long distances and often have partners where they set up "shop" to make it more convenient for the consumer.
Let us know if your organization would like to have a Navigator set up a table. We love to accommodate all stakeholders to the best of our ability. Those in need of health insurance can call and set up an appointment. Translation services are available if consumers don't speak English.

Welcome
ABIGAIL PRATT

I am a Wyomingite, having been born and raised in Gillette. In true Wyomingite style, as an adolescent I worked at a local fast-food restaurant while attending school. Most winters in Gillette I spent volunteering with a local church to give food, clothes, and toys to families in need around the holiday season. Shortly after graduating from Campbell County High School, I moved to the Powell/Lovell area to attend Northwest College. Attending school, volunteering, and even working in service has shown me that I truly enjoy helping people.

As a Navigator at Enroll Wyoming, I am thrilled to be part of a team whose primary role is helping those in need. I hope to expand my knowledge of local and national resources to further assist those in rural and underserved communities. Access to health coverage and awareness of health coverage options are vital to keeping us Wyomingites healthy and living our lives to the fullest. Enroll Wyoming is a fantastic project with remarkable people, and I am beyond enthused to be part of this team - and their cause.

Introducing Alicia Underwood
Hello everyone. I am Alicia Underwood and I am going to be working in Region 6 in Fremont County with the Native American population. I'm looking forward to assisting consumers who need healthcare coverage/health insurance.
I am originally from the Wind River Indian reservation. Currently I am working remotely in the CMS.gov enterprise portal completing my requirements and optional web-based modules and working alongside Dasa, Lead Navigator, who I job shadowed last week in Laramie. Our team has been great and supportive, and I'm glad to be onboard!
